You have a problem. We have the solution.
Custom Dentures
If you have missing teeth, then custom dentures are a sustainable teeth replacement solution for you. There are two types of dentures: partial and complete dentures. As the names indicate, full dentures substitute the whole set of teeth, and partial dentures replace just a few missing teeth. Whether partial or complete, custom dentures are efficient removable teeth replacement solutions that appear and function exactly like natural teeth.
Conventional dentures can be put into place within eight to 12 weeks of a tooth extraction procedure after the gum tissue and bone has completely healed, and swelling, if any, no longer exists.
As the gum tissue heals, temporary dentures are utilized instead of conventional ones while custom dentures are being devised for your use. These temporary dentures can be immediately placed after tooth extraction so that patients don’t go about their daily lives without teeth even as their bone and gums go through the natural healing process.
The Process Of Making Custom Dentures
Custom dentures can often take a few weeks to be designed and created. But, thankfully, with the help of our on-site, cutting-edge lab, the SR Ivocap® injection molding system, and also advanced shading and shaping technology—we can construct your custom dentures with the right shape, fit, and color in a very short time. The time required is much less than the time taken by other dental offices to get the dental materials made and transported to their office.
When you are interacting with us on your first appointment, a series of impressions of your mouth will be taken to calculate the dimensions of the spacing and structure of your teeth, gums, and bone to get the best fit. Then, we create and tweak the denture forms continuously to find out the shading, shape, fit and placement of your custom dentures. After working with you to design and make your custom fit, we start the processing of your final dentures right here in our in-house lab. While your custom dentures are being made, you are given temporary dentures to wear so you can rest easy in not leaving our office without a full set of teeth while you are undergoing the dental treatment with us.
How does the Ivocap® System Work?
We use the Ivocap® injection system so that all our patients get a solid fit with their custom dentures. While conventional dentures undergo some shrinkage during polymerization, Ivocap® dentures use a continuous and controlled injection technique to accommodate the standard material shrinkage. This means that we can realize a secure fit every time without requiring messy adhesives. Through the Ivocap special injection procedure, patients get dentures that have an exceptional fit and appearance to match their distinct smiles.
Taking Care Of Your Dentures
Appropriate denture care is essential for any denture-wearer’s oral and general health. Like regular teeth, dentures should also be carefully handled. Brush them twice daily with a soft brush to get rid of food particles, avoid staining, and prevent the buildup of plaque. After a meal, rinse the dentures and clean them with hand soap or a mild dishwashing liquid. Most dentures need to stay moist to retain their original shape. So, when not in use, they should always be stored in water in a mild soaking solution. When you use denture-soaking solutions, you should rinse the dentures completely before putting them back into the mouth. The solutions may contain chemicals that are harmful to one’s body. Frequent dental exams and cleanings by a professional are also a critical part of denture care to have a secure fit and be comfortable while wearing them.
